Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

BILOXI, MS - Ryan Munce's 51 saves highlighted a game that saw the Mississippi Sea Wolves fight to the last minute but eventually fall to the South Carolina Stingrays by the score of 2-1 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Munce made 16 saves, several of them spectacular, through the first period and then stopped 24 shots in the second frame.

Paul Kelly got the Stingrays on the board with their 41st shot on goal at 17:46 of the second period when he picked up the rebound of a shot from Viktor Dovgan and beat a sprawled Ryan Munce.

Mississippi tied the game at one-apiece when Pat Oliveto redirected a shot from Michael Couch past Stingrays goaltender Michal Neuvirth.

South Carolina's Brad Farynuk notched the game-winner when his shot from the left point eluded Munce through a screen with just 45.4 seconds remaining in the third period.

Ryan Munce made 51 saves and took the loss, and the Sea Wolves power play was 0-for-4.
