
Blades gain a player, lose a player

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that forward David Nimmo has been signed to a contract and that forward Kevin Baker has been recalled to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Nimmo (pronounced: NIHM-oh) was originally signed by the Everbldes in July, but decided to play in England with the Edinburgh Capitals where he notched 16 points (8g, 8a) in 17 games this season before returning to North America.
Last season the 26-year-old earned Central Hockey League Rookie of the Year honors after posting 84 points (41g, 43a) and 67 penalty minutes in 64 games with the Amarillo Gorillas. The 6-foot-2, 220 pound centerman led the team in goals, finish second on the club in assists and finish tied for the team lead in points.
League wide Nimmo finished tied for seventh in scoring, while his goal total was tied for third highest among all CHL players. In addition to his Rookie of the Year honor, the St. Albert, Alberta native was also selected to the CHL's post-season All-Rookie Team and was a member of the Southern Conference's mid-season All-Star squad.
Baker, who after last night's two point performance at Reading, finds himself third in the ECHL in scoring with 25 points (13g, 12a) and heads to Rochester leading the Everblades in goals and assists. The 29-year-old is currently riding a five-game point scoring streak and has 11 points in the last three games.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, November 28 when they travel to Reading to take on the Royals from the Sovereign Center at 7:05 p.m.! The Everblades' next home game is Friday, December 12 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m.
