Falcons Lose Close One to Steelheads

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA - The Fresno Falcons lost in a tight contest with the Idaho Steelheads Friday by a score of 3-2 at Selland Arena.

Falcons Kyle Hagel opened the scoring at 14:52 of the first period and Falcons Spencer Carbery quickly added the Falcons second goal at 15:10 putting the Falcons ahead 2-0. Idaho answered with one goal in the first period and two goals in the second period to put Idaho on top. Fresno was unable to even the score and recorded their first loss since November 16, 2008.

Falcons go on the road to face the Stockton Thunder on Saturday at Stockton Arena and then travel to Las Vegas to face the Wranglers in a two game series starting December 1, 2008. The Falcons return to Selland Arena for a three game weekend on December 5, 6 and 7.

In other news, Falcons goaltender Joe Fallon has been recalled to the Rockford Ice Hogs, the Falcons AHL affiliate and center Oren Eizenman has been loaned to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).
