Classroom Champions Night at Friday's Game

Upcoming week of April 1st - April 7th:

· Monday, April 1st - Condors players and staff, along with Colonel Claw'd will be at John's Incredible Pizza for the final Colonel Claw'ds Kids Club party of the season sponsored by Time Warner Cable and John's Incredible Pizza. Tickets are $6.00 for Kids Club members and can be purchased at the Condors office located at 1001Truxtun Ave or at the event tonight. The party is from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and John's Incredible is located at 3709 Rosedale Hwy.

· Tuesday, April 2nd - April 4th - Due to other events at the Centennial Garden, the Condors are practicing out of town.

· Friday, April 5th - Come out and see the Bakersfield Condors take on the Tacoma Sabercats. If you are one of the first 2,000 adults in attendance you will receive a Condors windshield shade courtesy of KLLY 95.3 & Mercedes-Benz of Bakersfield. Tonight is also the last Classroom Champions night of the season. Classroom Champions is a program designed by the Condors and sponsored by CBS 29 and McDonald's to honor students who achieve outstanding attendance levels by giving them a free ticket to the game. Tonight's game begins at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Centennial Garden box office. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.

· Saturday, April 6th - Colonel Claw'd will be at the Grand Opening of the Kern County Museum's "Endangered Species" exhibit from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The exhibit runs from April 6, 2002 until January, 2003. The Kern County Museum is located at 3801 Chester Avenue.

· Saturday, April 6th - Cal, the Baby Condor, will be at the California Avenue Cingular Wireless location from 12:00pm to 2:00pm for a radio remote with KSMJ, Smooth Jazz. The California Avenue Cingular Wireless is at 5498 California Avenue.

· Saturday, April 6th - Come see the Bakersfield Condors take on the Idaho Steelheads in the last game of the regular season for the Condors. The first 2,000 children, 12 and under will receive a Paul Rosebush bobblehead doll courtesy of KGET - TV 17 and Wm. K. Lyons Agency Inc. Also tonight, all season ticket holders are invited to meet the team following the game. The game begins at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6:00pm.

Week in review, March 25th - March 31st:

· Tuesday, March 26th - The Condors collected a total of 1,066 pounds of non-perishable food items for the Kern County Food Bank as part of the Condors annual "Help for the Homeless" canned food drive.

· Wednesday, March 27th - Condors players Jason Ralph and Gable Gross were at the East Bakersfield Kids Club for an Easter egg hunt.

Condors Droppings:

· The Condors sponsorship of the Entertainment Publications "One for the Community" program, along with KGET-TV 17 assisted in Bakersfield school's and non-profit organizations raising a combined $163,000 for their respective causes during the 2001 campaign.

· April's website auction of the month features your favorite Condors player (based on availability) with a special delivery of a spring floral arrangement to your mother on Mother's Day.
