
Columbus Recalls Fritsche

Syracuse, NY (April 6, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled center Dan Fritsche.
Fritsche, 20, has appeared in 18 games with Syracuse this season, recording 5 goals, 4 assists and 12 penalty minutes. In 52 games with Columbus this season 18 games, Fritsche has tallied 4 goals, 5 assists and 22 penalty minutes.
A second round selection, 46th overall, by the Blue Jackets at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Fritsche has recorded 5 goals and 5 assists in 71 career NHL games. A native of Parma, Ohio, he represented Team USA at the 2004 and 2005 World Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in 2004 and scoring 5 goals and 6 assists in 13 games during the two tournaments. In 2004-05, he helped the London Knights capture the Memorial Cup championship.
The Crunch host Hamilton on Friday, April 7 for Kinney Drugs Puck Night. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a puck featuring center Mark Hartigan, compliments of Kinney Drugs.
