Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Thursday announced their first two home dates for the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The Griffins, who have already claimed home-ice advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs, will host Games 1 and 2 of the North Division Semifinals at Van Andel Arena on Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m.
Grand Rapids will face the division's fourth-place team, currently undetermined, in a best-of-seven series. Remaining home and road dates for the best-of-seven series - which will be played in a 2-3-2 format - will be announced once the Griffins' opponent is confirmed.
Tickets for the first two games will go on sale to the general public next Wednesday, April 12 at 10 a.m. Single-game playoff ticket prices are $26, $21, $18, $16, $14 and $6 (advance purchase only), reflecting a league-wide increase of $1 over regular season prices.
