Cleveland Barons News Release

CLEVELAND, OH -- Two third period goals completed a come-from-behind win for the Barons who upended Toronto 3-2 on Thursday night. Barons goaltender Dimitri Patzold registered 32-saves for his second consecutive win.

Trailing 2-1 entering the third period the Barons stormed out of the locker room to tie the game 2-2 just 40-seconds into the final frame on a power play goal from Tomas Plihal, his 10th goal of the year and sixth in the last six games. The game-winner was then provided with another power play strike, this time from Mike Iggulden who tied Josh Hennessy for the team's goal lead with his 22nd of the year. Patzold shut down the Toronto offense with five saves in the final eleven minutes of play to preserve the one-goal victory.

The Barons were forced to come from behind after Toronto scored the first period's only goal on a shot from Martin Sagat. The teams traded second period goals on tallies from Cleveland's Craig Valette and the Marlies Colin Murphy.

The win was just the second in eight tries for the Barons against the Marlies this year.

The Barons wrap up their home ice schedule for the regular season with Saturday night at 7pm against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased in advance by phone for just $5.00 (any seat in any level, no glass seating available) by calling the Barons office at 216-420-0000. The $5 ticket offer will not be available at the box office on game day.
