
Collins and Franck finish second and third in Rookie of the Year voting

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announce today that forward Sean Collins and goaltender Andy Franck finished second and third in the voting for the ECHL Rookie of the Year.
Collins, 23, played in 60 games this season for the Nailers recording 74 points (26+48). He was third in rookie scoring in the ECHL, also was third in assists for rookies.
The 5'9" 178 pound native of Reading, Mass played four seasons at the University of New Hampshire, where he led the Wildcats in scoring his senior year with 56 points in 42 games, and was voted the Best Offensive Player by his teammates. Collins was also named a starter in the ECHL All-Star game and was voted 2006 Rbk Hockey All-Star Idol for ECHL thru online balloting.
Franck, 24, appeared in 53 games for the Nailers in his rookie season recording a 2.29 goals against average and a .918 save percentage, ranking him third in the league for goaltenders.
The 6'0" 175 pound native of Lakewood, Ohio set the Nailers single season win record by a goalie when he won his 27th game, and now sits at 31 wins on the season. Franck was voted to the ECHL All-Star Game and is in third place in the ECHL for wins and minutes played, while tied for the league lead in Shutouts with five.
