
Wranglers cage Ice Dogs 4-2

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs 4-2 on Friday night in front of 6,832 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' forward Todd Alexander scored twice and defenseman Scott Schoneck added a goal and an assist in the win. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 33 saves for his career-high 34th win of the season. With Alaska's victory at Fresno, the Aces clinched First Place in the West Division. Las Vegas will host Idaho in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs starting Tuesday at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas will host the Phoenix Roadrunners on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at the Orleans Arena for the final game of the regular season.
In the first period, Long Beach forward Michael Lambert opened the scoring 2:52 into the period with his 11th goal of the season. Las Vegas forward Matt Dzieduszycki answered for the Wranglers with a power-play goal at 7:56 of the period, tying the game 1-1. Left wing Todd Alexander scored at 14:04 of the period, giving Las Vegas a 2-1 lead.
In the second period, Scott Schoneck scored on the power-play, putting the Wranglers ahead by two at 6:10 of the period.
In the third period, Long Beach forward Cory Urquhart scored for the Ice Dogs with 18-seconds remaining in the game, to bring Long Beach within one goal. Just 11-seconds later, Alexander scored his second goal of the night with an empty net, giving the Wranglers the 4-2 win.
Blue Man Group will bring their unique style of entertainment to the Orleans Arena as they perform during the 1st intermission of the Wranglers game against the Phoenix Roadrunners on Saturday, April 8th. The puck drops at 7:05 PM.

Las Vegas will host Phoenix on Saturday at 7:05 pm. Saturday, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.
Playoff tickets are now available for the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Fans may purchase a strip of tickets that will include every home playoff game for as little as $200.00 per seat. Fans may obtain playoff ticket information from the Wranglers' front office by calling 702-471-7825 (PUCK). Wranglers season ticket holders and mini-plan holders have the first right of refusal for their seats. Tickets for all games are on sale now.
Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations: The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast, South Coast and Suncoast, or at the Galleria Mall guest relations/ticket centers.
