Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies
Luke Curtin scored with 11 seconds left to force overtime in a 4-3 shootout win on Friday. Rookie Jim Henke has two points (1g-1a) and is +2 in first two professional games. Scott Stirling is tied for the ECHL lead with two wins and one shutout. l Atlantic City hosts Wheeling on Friday and travels to Reading on Saturday..
Charlotte Checkers
Japanese player Takahito Suzuki scored hat trick in ECHL debut on Friday. Niklas Sundberg stopped all 20 shots he faced on Friday. Checkers were perfect 6-for-6 on the penalty kill on Friday. Charlotte travels to Richmond on Friday and to Roanoke Saturday.
Greensboro Generals
Greensboro is 2-0 for the first time ever in its four-year history. David Whitworth had three goals in first two games. Daniel Berthiaume's shutout on Saturday was team¹s first since October 19, 2001. Visits Reading on Wednesday, at Roanoke on Friday, and at Augusta on Saturday.
Reading Royals
Brian McCullough scored first hat trick in team history in Friday's 7-3 win.. Jeff Giuliano registered team record and ECHL season-high five assists in Friday's win. Hosts Greensboro on Wednesday, travels to Trenton on Friday, hosts Atlantic City on Saturday and returns to Trenton on Sunday.
Richmond Renegades
Alex Matieroukine scored his first professional points with two assists in season opener. Richmond dressed seven rookies in opening night lineup. Renegades have won their last four home openers. Plays at Augusta on Tuesday and hosts Charlotte on Friday and Trenton on Saturday.
Roanoke Express
Lost 4-3 in shootout at Atlantic City and won 3-2 in shootout at Trenton on Saturday. Rick Kowalsky and Dylan Gyori lead the Express with three points (1g-2a) each. Sebastien LaPlante made 26 saves in first professional win at Trenton on Saturday. Roanoke hosts Greensboro on Friday and Charlotte on Saturday.
Trenton Titans
David St. Germain is tied for third in the ECHL with 68 saves. Eleven different players registered at least one point in first three games.. Scott Bertoli, Kent Davyduke and Adam Edinger lead the team with four points each. Trenton hosts Reading on Friday and Sunday and travels to Richmond on Saturday.
