Chihuahuas Use Early Power to Top Isotopes

The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 6-3 Tuesday in the first meeting of the season between the two teams. The Chihuahuas have won four games in a row and 22 of their last 25.

The Chihuahuas hit two home runs in a five-run bottom of the first, including one by Michael Gettys, who has led off the bottom of the first with a homer three times in the last five games. The Chihuahuas have outscored opponents 39-14 in first innings this season.

Dietrich Enns allowed one earned run in a seven-inning start Tuesday, the third consecutive Chihuahuas starter to pitch more than five innings and allow two runs or less. El Paso's last two wins have come at a combined score of 21-3.
