Checkers trade Deschamps to Phoenix

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers head coach/general manager Derek Wilkinson announced that defenseman Matt Deschamps has been traded to the Phoenix RoadRunners for future considerations.
Deschamps, 26, had skated in 12 games with the Checkers with two assists and 12 penalty minutes.
