Toledo Walleye News Release
STORM NOTES
* Winning the Wheeling Weekend! The Toledo Storm and Wheeling Nailers just completed a three in three weekend series, in which the Storm went 2-1-0. They did so by rebounding from a 4-0 loss Friday night in Wheeling, to defeat the Nailers 4-3 Saturday and 5-2 Sunday. Friday was the second time this season that the Storm has been held without a goal. The first came October 21st at Cincinnati (4-0). Toledo won three consecutive games after that setback.
* Offense Explodes! Following the blanking Toledo took Friday night, the Storm found its offense over the next two games, scoring 9 goals.
* 9, 21, 25! The line of Matt Zultek, Andrew Martin, and Jamie Tardif combined for 7 of the 9 goals scored this weekend. Zultek finished the week with 2 goals and 3 assists, Tardif collected 3 goals and 2 assists, and Martin scored 2 goals with 3 assists!
* Power Play! Toledo did not collect a power play goal in any game this weekend (0-16). For the season, Toledo has scored 16 power play goals in 148 chances (10.8%), which ranks 24th in the ECHL.
* Penalty Kill! The Penalty Kill Unit has stopped 123 of 145 times they have been shorthanded (84.8%). That ranks 9th among all ECHL teams. The unit has allowed just 22 power play goals this season, the second fewest in the ECHL (Cincinnati, Dayton have allowed 20).

The Bombers are 5-2-0 at home this season, and are led by their goaltender Adam Berkhoel (8-3-0, 1.88 goals against average, and a .922 save percentage).
* Royals Back to One Main! On Saturday night, the Toledo Storm will entertain the Reading Royals for the fourth time this season. The home team has every meeting in the season series (3-3). The last time the two met at One Main was when the Storm rebounded from a 4-1 third period deficit to win 5-4.
