THE WEEK THAT WAS:

Friday, December 8th Inferno 2 - SOUTH CAROLINA 3

Brad Ralph netted the first goal of the game at 17:31 of the first period with assists to Mike Jarmuth and Luke Fulghum. South Carolina scored three unanswered goals as they took the 3-1 lead in the third. Lucas Drake scored his seventh goal of the season at 16:19 of the third period to bring the Inferno back to within one goal. The Inferno were unable to take advantage of a 5-on-3 power play situation in the final minutes of the game, as the Stingrays held on for the 3-2 win.

Saturday, December 9th Inferno 2 - SOUTH CAROLINA 5

South Carolina's Stephen Werner scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Stingrays to a 5-2 win. Brad Ralph and Jeff Miles each scored for the Inferno, both on the power play. Rob Gherson made his first start since November 18th stopping 20 of 25 shots on goal.

Friday, December 15th @ 7:05 p.m. Inferno vs. South Carolina Stingrays Carolina Coliseum The Inferno are 1-3-1-1 (four points) against their intrastate rivals this season, and is hosting the Rays for the third time this season. This will be the third game in a row between these two teams. The Stingrays are tied for fifth place, along with the Augusta Lynx, with 24 points (11-10-0-2) in the South Division.

Saturday, December 16th @ 7:05 p.m.
Inferno vs. Pensacola Ice Pilots
Carolina Coliseum
This is the first time this season Pensacola visits the Carolina Coliseum. The Ice Pilots are in last place in the South Division with 12 points (5-14-1-1). The Inferno is 1-0-0-0 against Pensacola this season. The last time these two teams met was on October 29th in Pensacola with the Inferno winning 4-2.

Sunday, December 17th @ 5:05 p.m.
Inferno vs. Florida Everblades
Carolina Coliseum
The Inferno is 1-3-1-0 this season against the Everblades. This marks the sixth of nine games between Columbia and Florida. The Everblades are tied for second place, along with the Gwinnett Gladiators, with 30 points (15-7-0-0). The last time Florida played in Columbia, the Inferno won 3-1.

Wednesday, December 13th (1:30 p.m.) - Players will be visiting Polo Road Elementary talking hockey to the students and reading to third graders.
