South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays played three games last week and finished with a record of 2-1-0.
On Tuesday they traveled to Augusta and lost the contest 4-2. Jamie Fraser continued his point streak with a goal and Chris Chaput netted his 11th of the season.
Friday night found them playing in Columbia. Stephen Werner and Matt Stefanishion joined the team from Hershey. Both Werner and T.J. McElroy scored their first professional goal as the Rays won 3-2.
Saturday the Inferno and Rays faced each other again. The Stingrays won their 2nd in a row 5-2 in the very physical game. Rays newcomer Werner tallied two goals and one assist in the victory.
Team Notes
Record:
The team is now 11-10-2 for the season for 24 points. They are ranked 5th in the South Division, tied with the Augusta Lynx and only 8 points behind division-leading Texas Wildcatters who have 32 points.
League Honors:
Defenseman Jamie Fraser was named the CCM Vector ECHL Rookie of the Month for November.
Roster Changes:
Stephen Werner and Matt Stefanishion joined the team from Hershey this weekend. Werner had four points (3g-1a) in two games with the team, including the game-winning goal in Saturday night's game. Stefanishion, back for his second round with the Rays, has two assists in two games.
Scoring Streaks: Jamie Fraser continues his scoring streak. He has scored at least one point in the last seven games with three goals and eight assists.
Matt Reid has scored at least one point in every home game he has played in this season.
Chris Chaput has a four-game scoring streak and three assists.
League Leaders:
Jamie Fraser is tied for 15th in points with 26 and 5th in assists with 21. He is ranked 3rd for rookies in points, and 1st in assists and is 1st in points and assists for defensemen, and 3rd in shots.
Nate Kiser's 24 minor penalties this season ranks him 5th in the league and his 83 PIMs ranks him 4th among defensemen.
Davis Parley's numbers puts him 4th in wins (10), 3rd in saves (558), 3rd in minutes (1124).
Stephen Werner is ranked 4th for rookies in shooting percentage with .333 and his one short-handed goal on Saturday night ranks him 4th.

STINGRAYS HOCKEY - A WHOLE LOT COOLER!
This Week: The Stingrays play the Inferno for the third game in a row at 7:05 p.m. at the Carolina Coliseum on Dec. 15. The team then returns to the North Charleston Coliseum to face the Florida Everblades for the first time this season on Dec. 16th. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m.

The Stingrays travel to Columbia. This is the third straight meeting of the teams with the Stingrays taking the first two 3-2 and 5-2 respectively. For the season the Stingrays are 5-1-0 against the Inferno. Listen live on ESPN Radio 910 the Team beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Benito's Pre-game show with Mike Kelly, Voice of the Rays.

The Stingrays battle the Florida Everblades on Saturday night for the first time this season. The 'Blades are in 2nd place in the Division with a 15-7-9 record for 30 points. The game can be heard live on ESPN Radio 910 the Team beginning at 6:50 p.m. THE MILLION DOLLAR CHUCK A PUCK IS BACK!
