CHARLOTTE, N.C. - This Thursday, December 14, at 10:30am, the Charlotte Checkers play in a special three-on-three hockey game at WBT's Holiday on Ice at the Green in Uptown.
Keith Larson "Coach" of the WBT team has recruited an all women team to play. The game is free to the public and will last about an hour. The Green Uptown, is located at 435 S. Tryon Street. Media Parking is available on College Street across from the convention center for live shots and larger broadcast vehicles. Other media will receive a pass to park in the Green's Parking Deck for Free.
Keith's Team includes Stacey Simms, co-host of Charlotte's Morning News, Sharon Thorsland, WBT Sports Reporter, Molly Grantham, WBTV Channel 3 reporter, Tara Servatius, Creative Loafing and Tania Jameson from the Charlotte Observer.
The game will be broadcast live on News Talk 1110am and 99.3 fm, WBT. Jim Szoke, WBT Sports Director and Color Commentator for the Carolina Panthers, will handle the play by play calls.
WBT Holiday on Ice will open after the game with free skating for all who attend the game. WBT Holiday on Ice is open through January 15th, 2007.

WBT is teaming up with Wachovia, Hendrick Lexus, Time Warner Cable and Circle K to make this years WBT Holiday on Ice possible.
