ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off the first half of their longest road trip of the season with a perfect 3-0-0 record. The Everblades head into this week's action with a record of 15-7-0 (30 pts, T-2nd South Div.).

THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)

Friday, December 15 at Augusta Lynx 7:35 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades continue their longest road trip of the season with their first meeting of the season against the Augusta Lynx. The meeting is the first of nine between the South Division rivals and the first of five in Augusta. Last season the Everblades finished with an overall record of 7-2-0 vs. Augusta and a record of 4-1-0 in Augusta. The Lynx enter this week's action with a record of 12-13-0 (24 pts., 6th, South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 39-12-6 vs. Augusta.

Saturday, December 16 at South Carolina Stingrays 7:05 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades play game five of their six game road trip on Saturday night when they face the Stingrays for the first of ten meetings on the regular season and the first of four in Charleston. Last season the Everblades were 5-4-0 vs. South Carolina, and were 3-1-0 at South Carolina. The 'Rays enter this week's action with a record of 11-10-2 (24 pts., 5th, South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 32-18-8 vs. South Carolina and are 17-8-3 all-time on the road vs. the Stingrays

Sunday, December 17 at Columbia Inferno 5:00 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades meet the Inferno for the sixth of nine times of the season, and the third of four at Columbia. The Everblades lead the season series 4-1-0 after winning the first four games of the season series before Columbia collected a win in the last meeting. The Inferno enter this week's action with a record of 7-11-4 (18 pts., 7th, South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 22-12-6 vs. Columbia and are 9-9-2 all-time on the road vs. the Inferno.

Friday, December 8 at Pensacola 7-5 W

The Everblades opened their longest road trip of the season with a 7-5 win at Pensacola on Friday night. Brent McDonald tallied his second career hat-trick and the Everblades tied a team record with five power play goals in one game. Dustin Johner added a pair of goals including a short-handed tally, and rookie defenseman Frank MacDonald scored his first professional goal. Brett Peterson added the other goal for the Everblades. David Shantz started in goal for the Everblades and picked up the win by stopping 35 of 40 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 5-for-11; PK: 9-for-12.

Saturday, December 9 at Pensacola 4-3 W

The Everblades won their second straight with a 4-3 effort at Pensacola on Saturday night. The Everblades used three second period goals to help vault them to the win. Mike Angelidis opened the scoring for the 'Blades and Frank MacDonald and Chris Dyment added the other two second period tallies. After Pensacola tied the game at three midway through the third period, Brad Zancanaro scored the eventual game-winner late in the third. In goal Craig Kowalski earned the win by turning away 27 of 30 Pensacola shots. Florida special teams: PP: 2-for-7, PK: 5-for-5.

Sunday, December 10 at Gwinnett 6-5 W

The Everblades used a season-high four second period goals as six different goal scorers helped them collect their third straight win in the first meeting of the season between the teams. Steve Czech and Reggie Berg scored first period goals as the teams dead locked to a 2-2 tie after one. In the second period the Everblades scored four goals in the first eight minutes. Brent McDonald, Vince Bellissimo, Niko Tuomi and Brett Peterson helped stake the Everblades to a 6-2 lead. The Gladiators added a second period goal to trim the lead to three, then chipped in a pair of power play goals in the third period to cut the lead to one, but that was as close as thy would get despite firing 21 shots on goal in the final period. In goal David Shantz won his third straight game by turning away 41 of 46 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-6, PK: 6-for-9.

Player of the Week Nominee: This week's Everblades nominee for ECHL player of the week is Brent McDonald who tallied six points (4g, 2a) in Florida's three games this past week, including a hat-trick on Friday night vs. Pensacola.

Special Teams Breakdown: Here's a look at the special teams of the Everblades and how it breaks down home and away: Power play: 28-for-169 (16.6%) which ranks the Everblades 13th in ECHL. At home the Everblades are 12-for-85 (14.1%) which ranks 17th. On the road the Everblades are 16-for-84 (19.0%) which ranks 7th. Penalty Kill: 141-for-169 (83.4%) which ranked the Everblades 13th in the ECHL. At home the 'Blades are 75-for-92 (81.5%) which is 18th in the league. On the road, Florida is 66-for-77 (85.7%) which is 6th best in the league.

Record Setting Night!: In Florida's 7-5 win over the Pensacola Ice Pilots on December 8, the Everblades tied a club record with five power play goals in one game. It was the third time in team history the feat had been accomplished, with the last time coming during last season on November 26, 2005 at Greenville. In addition to the team record, the Everblades set and matched several season high marks in the high-scoring affair. The 'Blades set season high marks in total goals scored by both teams (12) and most power play goals in one game (5). The 'Blades tied season high marks for most goals in one game (7), most power play opportunities (11) and most shots on goal (44).

Mile Marker 300 Part 2: Everblades forward Reggie Berg, who recently reached the 300 game plateau in his career, has also reached the 300 point milestone in his career. With his goal on Sunday at Gwinnett in the first period, Berg tallied career point 300. Berg also added a pair of assists in the game to push his total to 301 points. Berg's career began in 1999-00 after completing his college career at the University of Minnesota. Now in his seventh season with the Everblades Berg has played in 241 career games scoring 274 points (124g, 150a) as a 'Blade. His overall career, which includes stops in Orlando (IHL), Cincinnati (IHL), and Lowell (AHL), has seen him tally 301 points (134g, 166a) and 350 penalty minutes in his 305 games.

Home Away From Home!: The Everblades are half way through their longest road trip of the season, a six-game trek, and have so far picked up wins in the first three games. Overall this season the Everblades have found the road to be quite comfortable winning eight of their 10 games away from Germain Arena so far this season. The Everblades continue this current road trip this weekend with another three-games-in-three-nights segment that will feature stops in Augusta, South Carolina and Columbia.

Upcoming Milestones: Here are some milestones that Everblades players and coaches are approaching in their professional careers: F Brad Parsons is five assists shy of his 100th and is 11 goals away from his 50th ...F Brent McDonald is only seven goals away from reaching the 100 mark...D Ryan Brindley is just two assists away from his 200th and is 16 points shy of collecting his 300th...F Vince Bellissimo is two games away from his 100th as a pro...D Chris Dyment is 23 games shy of his 200th in his career.
