Condors Take Two Out Of Three Games In East Coast Road Trip

Bakersfield, Calif - The Bakersfield Condors grabbed a pair of wins on their three-game East Coast swing last week, improving their road record to 5-2-2 and jumping into sole possession of third place in the Pacific Division. After splitting two games in Trenton Friday and Saturday, Bakersfield came back Sunday with another victory in Johnstown. Team captain Sean Venedam led the way for the Condors, grabbing four goals and one assist in the three games.

The Condors conclude their four-game road trip Friday in Fresno before returning to The Nest Saturday for a special Noon start to face off against the Victoria Salmon Kings.

CONDORS 4 at Trenton 2 (Attendance: 3,156)
Todd Griffith gave the Condors an early lead, but Venedam sealed the Bakersfield win with two goals - one in the second and another in the third period. Jamie Hodson also continued his red-hot play, making 38 saves, as the Condors opened their three-game East Coast swing.

Saturday, Dec. 9:
CONDORS 3 vs Trenton 6 (Attendance: 3,905)
The Condors dominated the first period, but couldn't light the lamp and the Titans took advantage, opening up a 4-0 second-period lead. Bakersfield fought back on back-to-back goals by Venedam and Josh Liebenow and made it 5-3 on Steve Rodberg's third-period tally, but Trenton held on to beat the Condors and end their four-game unbeaten streak.
Sunday, Dec. 10:
CONDORS 3 vs Johnstown 2 (Attendance: 1,675)
After busing all night from Trenton, the Condors came out flying in the first period and jumped out to a commanding 3-0 lead, thanks to goals by by Mike Hofstrand, Venedam and Andrew Ianiero. Johnstown fought back but was ultimately held off by Hodson who allowed only two goals on 24 shots, upping his personal unbeaten streak to seven games.

Venedam has a seven-game point streak and four-game goal streak, knocking in 14 points (7g, 7a)
Kevin Truelson's seven-game point streak was snapped Sunday
