Checkers Graham Recalled To Hartford

Charlotte, N.C. - The New York Rangers of the National Hockey League have recalled forward Bruce Graham and assigned him to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. Also, forward Ryan Murphy has been returned on loan to the Checkers by the Wolf Pack.

Graham, 6-foot-6, 235 pounds, was drafted by the Rangers in the second round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In 17 games with the Checkers this season, he has totaled four goals, five assists for nine points with 30 penalty minutes. He played for the Wolf Pack in a ten games this season where he garnered one assist during that time.

Ryan Murphy signed a Professional Tryout agreement with the Wolf Pack earlier this season and played in seven games but didn't register a point. In 10 games with the Checkers this year, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward scored one goal and added five assists for six points, with four penalty minutes. Murphy drafted by the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League in the sixth round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Checkers are in their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. Their next home game takes place on Dec. 29 against the South Carolina Stingrays. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers will enter their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena this fall. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $399.
