Checkers Announce Pet Weekend on April 7 and 8
April 3, 2018 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers today announced that they will hold a Pet Weekend, presented by Nutrisource and 107.9 The Link, for their final two home games of the regular season against the Hershey Bears on Saturday, April 7 (6 p.m.) and Sunday, April 8 (1 p.m.) at Bojangles' Coliseum.
The weekend kicks off with the team's second annual Caturday, which is a culmination of a season-long partnership with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department's Animal Control Center that has seen the Checkers assist in getting numerous cats adopted through in-game and social media promotion. For the Caturday event this Saturday, cats from CMPD's Animal Control Center will be at the coliseum and available for fans to meet and begin the adoption process. Unlike the Pooch Party, fans may not bring their own cats.
Pet Weekend continues for the Checkers' ninth annual Pooch Party on Sunday, with all fans invited to bring their dogs to the game. Those who wish to bring dogs may purchase special $16 tickets in a pet-friendly section of the arena at gocheckers.com/pooch. Dogs do not need their own ticket unless their owner would like to have the additional seats' worth of space.
For more information on these games, season tickets or playoff packages, please contact the Checkers at (704) 342-4423 or email tickets@gocheckers.com. Single game tickets for those not bringing dogs are available via Ticketmaster or the Bojangles' Coliseum box office.
