ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Omaha Storm Chasers topped the Rochester Red Wings for the second straight game with an 8-4 score. as Adeiny Hechavarria hit a grand slam and Jonathan Bowlan earned the win in his Triple-A debut.

Bowlan fell behind early, as he allowed a two-run homer to former Storm Chaser Franmil Reyes, for an early 2-0 deficit, but kept Rochester off the board the following two innings.

A pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases with one out for Omaha in the top of the fourth, then Hechavarria connected on his first home run with the Chasers, a grand slam on a 3-0 pitch to give Omaha a 4-2 lead.

Bowlan allowed a pair of solo homers in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game 4-4, but fired a scoreless fifth inning to keep the game tied.

Nate Eaton was hit by a pitch to open the sixth and was picked off but safely stole second base and advanced to third on a throwing error, then scored on a wild pitch to put Omaha ahead for good, at the time a 5-4 lead to put Bowlan in line for a win.

The Chasers added two in the sixth on RBI singles from Brewer Hicklen and Logan Porter, then Porter singled in one more in the ninth, his third hit of the day, for a run of insurance.

Amir Garrett began his Major League rehab assignment in bottom of the sixth inning and while he got two outs, walked the bases loaded. Christian Chamberlain came in behind Garrett and got a strike out to strand the three inherited runners, then threw a 1-2-3 seventh to retire all four batters he faced.

Jonah Dipoto retired four of his five batters and Evan Sisk recorded the game's final two outs, as Omaha pitching held Rochester to just one hit over the final five innings of the game and the bullpen totaled 4.0 scoreless innings.

Seven of nine Chasers recorded a hit and scored a run, including Porter's three, plus two each from Clay Dungan and Tucker Bradley, who doubled and scored twice.

Now three games above .500 for just the second time this season, Anthony Veneziano heads to the mound Thursday for a 5:45 p.m. CT first pitch against the Red Wings and the Storm Chasers try to secure at least a series split with the Red Wings.
