Burr to Begin MLB Rehab Stint with Knights

RHP Ryan Burr will begin a Major League Baseball Rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights today. Burr, 27, has been on the Chicago White Sox Injured List with a right shoulder strain since April 7 (retroactive to April 4).

Last season, Burr posted a 2-1 record with a 2.45 ERA in 34 appearances (one start) with the Chicago White Sox (36.2 IP). He also appeared in 15 games with the Knights last season and went 1-2 with three saves and a 4.60 ERA (15.2 IP). Burr was originally obtained by the Chicago White Sox from the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 11, 2017 (in exchange for international signing bonus pool money).

The Knights will wrap up a six-game series against the Nashville Sounds with today's finale set for 3:05 p.m. ET from Nashville, TN. The team returns home to Truist Field for a six-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Tuesday, April 26. First pitch from Uptown Charlotte on Tuesday is set for 11:05 a.m.
