NASHVILLE, T.N. -Bulls third baseman Osleivis Basabe scored on a sacrifice fly, shortstop Tristan Gray knocked a 2-run homer and second baseman Jonathan Aranda went in Durham's 4-2 win over Nashville on Thursday evening at First Tennessee Park.
The Bulls struck first with a single tally in the first, before Gray left the park with a 2-run homer in the fourth. Sounds 3B Cam Devanney drove in a run in the same frame. Aranda recorded his 20th homer to extend Durham's lead to 4-1 before Nashville's 1B Keston Hiura put up one more tally, bringing the final score to 4-2.
Durham reliever Javy Guera (1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 SO) earned the victory, while Evan McKendry (5.0 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 3 SO), meanwhile, suffered the defeat.
The two teams are scheduled to face off again on Friday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 7:35pm. RHP Taj Bradley is anticipated to start for the Bulls and be opposed by LHP Robert Gasser.
