Bruins participate in Reading Week

The Providence Bruins will participate in "National Reading Week", with players visiting several area schools to read to students and emphasize the importance of reading and staying in school. The school visits are being sponsored by "Shaw's Supermarkets".

On Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., Bruin defenseman Brent Thompson will visit the Christopher Rhodes Elementary School in Warwick, while fellow defenseman Jayme Filipowicz visits the James Eldredge Elementary School in East Greenwich.

In addition, forwards Brad Boyes and Pat Leahy will speak to students in the "Pegasus Program" at LaSalle Academy in Providence.

Bruin forward David Gove will visit the Robertson School in Warwick on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., while Ben Guite reads to children at the Drumrock School in Warwick.
