ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah are back at Capital Credit Union Park for the first time in nine days as they prepare to host the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Monday.
Yesterday, the Booyah had their hearts broken when the Kenosha Kingfish batted around in the bottom of the ninth, scoring five runs and walking off, 10-9. Johnny Hipsman (Richmond) had four hits in the loss.
The Booyah and the Woodchucks will see each other five times in as many days, including an off-day on Wednesday and a doubleheader on Thursday. They have a ton to play for as the two teams are tied for second place at 10-7 entering Monday's game. The Madison Mallards are also 10-7 entering Monday's game, one game back of the first half division winners and current second half leaders Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.
The Booyah will turn to Ryan Stefiuk (Vanderbilt) on Monday evening. He is 1-4 on the season and has a 6.25 earned run average. Over his last two starts, the southpaw has pitched 10.2 innings, allowing four runs, and striking out seven. He was named to the Major League Dreams Showcase on Monday morning.
The Woodchucks will start Cade Denton on Monday. He has pitched 6.2 innings, allowing 10 hits, four runs, three walks and three strikeouts. He boasts a 4.05 earned run average.
It will be Free Hot Dogs Monday, presented by Festival Foods. Free hot dogs for the first 90 minutes after gates open, limit two hot dogs per person, per trip. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
