(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that forward Brad Bonello has been assigned to Toledo from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. In a separate move, the Manitoba Moose have recalled forward Adam Keefe.
Bonello, who signed a contract with the Griffins while in their training camp, collected his first professional hat trick (3 goals in one game) and added an assist in Toledo's 7-3 win on December 2nd. Following that contest, Brad received the call to join the Griffins. While in Grand Rapids, Bonello collected 1 assist and 12 penalty minutes in 8 games. Bonello has collected points in 7 straight Storm games (6g, 5a), and has 6 goals, and 6 assists for the season.
Keefe has appeared in 28 games with the Storm this season collecting 174 penalty minutes, 11 goals, and 10 assists. In the month of December, Keefe had 8 goals and 4 assists with 72 penalty minutes. Adam spent the last four years with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League, and was a penalty minute machine with seasons of 286, 205, 168, and 208.
