AHL calls up Wood and Traylen, Marlin signs

TRENTON, NJ (January 10, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Tuesday that defenseman Stephen Wood has been recalled to the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL), while goaltender Dustin Traylen has been loaned to the Providence Bruins (AHL).

Wood, 24, receives his second call-up to the Phantoms this season having appeared in two games and registering eight penalty minutes for Phialdelphia. The native of Sudbury, Massachusetts currently ranks second on the Titans in points (21) and assists (15) and is tied for the team with lead with nine power play points.

Traylen, 24, returns for his second stint with Providence having signed a PTO with the Baby Bruins on November 2, 2005. A rookie out of Clarkson University, Traylen is 10-4-0 with a 2.41 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.

In a separate transaction, the Titans agreed to terms with goaltender Dave Marlin

A product of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Marlin made appearances with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and Johnstown Chiefs last season. The 28-year old has played in 21 career ECHL games with eight different teams.
