
Ice Pilots Battle Back for 4-3 OT Win At South Carolina

Pensacola, FL - The Ice Pilots battled back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the South Carolina Stingrays 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday morning in Charleston, South Carolina.
South Carolina would jump to a 3-0 lead after the first period. Nick Harloff started the scoring at the 3:31 mark to give the Stingrays a 1-0 lead. Craig Olynick gave the Stingrays a 2-0 lead on a shot from inside the blue line at the 5:58 mark. Cam McCaffrey scored at the 8:24 mark to give South Carolina a 3-0 lead.
Steven Later would score for the Ice Pilots at the 8:30 mark on the power play. Later wristed the puck from inside the blue line to make it a 3-1 contest after two periods of play.
Mark Rooneem would score at the 1:51 mark of the third period to make it a 3-2 contest. Brendan Cook would tie the game up on a power play goal at the 12:28 mark of the third period. Cook shot the puck over the shoulder of Stingrays' goalie Maxime Daigneualt.
Adam Courchaine would score the game winning goal a minute and 20 seconds into the overtime to give the Ice Pilots a 4-3 win.
The Ice Pilots had 32 shots goal, 17 penalty minutes and went 2-6 on the power play. South Carolina had 35 shots on goal, 21 penalty minutes and went 0-4 on the power play.
Todd Ford was the winning goalie for the Ice Pilots and Maxime Daigneault picked up the overtime loss in goal for the Singrays.
The Ice Pilots improved their record to 12-18-3 for 27 points and South Carolina's record goes to 13-13-9 for 35 points.
The Ice Pilots will continue their road trip on Wednesday night at Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. central time. The pre game show on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network begins at 5:45 p.m. central time.
