Today's Games

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the final game of a three-game series from Victory Field (1:35 p.m.). This is the rubber match of the series as the Herd won 12-3 on Monday night and Indy rebounded for a 3-1 win last night. Tomorrow, the Bisons open up a four-game series in Louisville against the Bats.

With last night's win, the Indians have clinched the season series. Indy is 4-1 against the Bisons this year with today's game the final regular season meeting between the teams this year. It's the I-Tribe's sixth season series victory over Buffalo in seven years since 2009.

Daniel Norris

LHP DANIEL NORRIS takes the ball for the sixth time this season. The southpaw has not allowed more than three earned runs in a start this year for Buffalo. Last Wednesday against Indy, Norris allowed just two runs in 6.1 innings but took the loss in a 2-1 defeat to the Indians. He struck out four and walked four in that outing.

Matt Hague

Add another stat that INF MATT HAGUE leads the International League in. With five consecutive multi-hit performances (11-18, .611), Hague now tops all IL hitters with a .356 batting average. Hague has nine more hits (69) than any other hitter and also tops the league with 17 doubles and 34 RBI. Hague also ranks 2nd in on-base pct (.427) and 4th in slugging pct. (.500).

Pitching Staff

Bisons pitchers lead the International League with a 2.74 ERA. The staff has allowed just 19 home runs in 456.0 innings, tied for the fewest in the IL. Buffalo has also yielded 45 less hits (411) than innings pitched for a .240 average against.

Bisons Bits

RHP GREGORY INFANTE has thrown shutout baseball in nine consecutive appearances, a stretch that includes 14.0 innings of work...LHP PHIL COKE pitched an inning of scoreless relief in his Bisons debut last night. He's the 48th different player used by the Bisons this season. The Blue Jays announced yesterday that C JOSH THOLE has been optioned to the Bisons.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (24-30) split a doubleheader in Washington on Tuesday. Toronto was shutout for the first time in 2015 in a 2-0 Game 1 win by the Nationals. Former Bison Kevin Pillar hit two home runs in a 7-3 Blue Jays win in the nightcap. Toronto takes on Washington again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
