Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
After a rain out last night, the IronPigs (20-32) will now start their six-game homestand with a doubleheader tonight against the first-place Rochester Red Wings (27-23)... With a 2-0 loss at Charlotte on Sunday, the Pigs dropped the series at BB&T BallPark, 2-1, and finished 2-5 on the seven-game, South Division road trip. Although the Pigs have dropped six of their last eight affairs, they're still 14-12 since starting the season at 6-20 through May 4... The Red Wings -- Minnesota's top affiliate -- were postponed Sunday in Buffalo and dropped the rain-shortened series at Coca-Cola Field, 2-1. The Wings have dropped six of their last nine games after going 19-11 from April 21 to May 22... Following this one-day, two-game series, the Pig next host a four-game set with first-place Indianapolis (31-22), which is 9-4 since May 20.
In Game 1, LHP Joely Rodriguez (2-4, 5.27) will start for LHV against LHP Jason Wheeler (1-1, 6.02).
In Game 2, RHP Phillippe Aumont (2-2, 2.08) will start for LHV while ROC is TBA.
Tonight is Health Fair Night presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network. First Pitch of Game One is set for 6:05 p.m.
