An Amazing 7,149 Stuffed Animals Collected at the Teddy Bear Toss

Saturday, November 27th marked the sixth Annual Condors Teddy Bear Toss. Fans were encouraged to bring a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal to throw onto the ice when the Condors scored their first goal of the night. Condors rookie Connor James scored the goal at the 5:46 mark of the third period as the Condors skated to a come from behind, 3-2 shootout victory over the Victoria Salmon Kings in front of the third largest crowd in Condors history of 8,204 fans. An amazing total of 7,149 stuffed animals were collected destroying last season's record and pushing the six- year event history to over 26,000. The animals will be donated to underprivileged children this holiday season through the United Way of Kern County.

Wednesday, December 1st - Condors forwards Ashlee Langdone and Lars-Peder Nagel will be attending Bessie Owens Primary Schools Celebrity Reader Day beginning at 1:15 p.m. Langdone and Nagel will be going to selected rooms, reading stories, and discussing their careers in professional hockey. Bessie Owens Primary School is located at 815 Potomac Avenue in Bakersfield.

Wednesday, December 1st - Come on down to the Holiday Inn Select and join the Voice of the Condors Kevin Bartl for the Condors Coach's Show from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Each week the show features Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond and select Condors players. The Condors Coach's Show is a great chance for fans to meet their favorite players as well as win great prizes. The Holiday Inn Select is located at the corner of Truxtun Avenue and Q Street. The show can also be heard live each week on KGEO AM 1230.

Thursday, December 2nd - Come enjoy lunch with the Condors! The Condors host the Fresno Falcons as the Bakersfield Californian, FOX 58, KERN 1410 AM & Arrival Communications host the first ever Businesspersons' Special / Kids' Field Trip Day. This special 10:30 a.m. start time enables area schools to participate in a field trip. Each child will receive an Educational handout and there will be other in-game activities geared towards learning. As a bonus, fans can receive two for one admission if they purchase a ticket after 11:30 a.m. The doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the puck drops at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, December 2nd - Following the game the Bakersfield Condors will be attending the Annual Bakersfield Christmas Parade, which begins at 6:00 p.m. Condors Assistant Coach Paul Willett and Colonel Claw'd will be joining KGET-TV 17 on their float. Also, Condors defensemen Guy Dupuis and Ryan Gillis will be joining Bakersfield Ice Sports Center's float. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets to all Condors home games can be purchased at the Centennial Garden box office open from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, with extended hours on event days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
