THE WEEK AHEAD

Thursday, December 2nd Inferno vs. South Carolina Stingrays Carolina Coliseum

This is the fourth game between the Inferno and Stingrays. The Inferno is 1-1-1 this season and 16-7-2 all-time. The Stingrays are in third place with 17 points (8-8-1) and have played 3 more games than the Inferno.

Friday, December 3rd Inferno vs. Augusta Lynx Carolina Coliseum

The last time these two teams met was last Saturday; the Inferno won 3-2 in Augusta. The Lynx are in last place with 12 points (5-8-2). This is the second game between these two teams.

Saturday, December 4th Inferno @ Charlotte Checkers Cricket Arena

The Inferno is 1-2-1 this season. Charlotte is in first place with 23 points (11-4-1). This is the fifth meeting between the Inferno and Checkers.

Friday, November 26th INFERNO 3 Charlotte 1

Newcomer rookie D'Arcy McConvey scored two goals to lift the Inferno past the first place Charlotte Checkers 3-1. After a scoreless first period, Robin Carruthers scored his first goal of the season at 2:15 of the second period with help from Brad Ralph and Ryan Campbell. The Inferno went up 2-0 with McConvey's first goal of the game at 11:35 with an assist to Chanse Fitzpatrick. At 17:10, Charlotte came within one goal as Dusty Jamieson scored his fifth goal of the season. McConvey added the insurance goal at 19:29 of the third period, as the net was empty for the extra skater for the Checkers. Fitzpatrick had the assist.

Saturday, November 27th INFERNO 3 Augusta 2

For the second night in a row, D'Arcy McConvey scored two goals to lift the Inferno past the Augusta Lynx. Columbia was on the board first at 1:20 of the first period with McConvey scoring his third goal of the season with help from Chanse Fitzpatrick. Augusta's Jamie Johnson scored on the power play to tie the game at 5:11. Ryan Campbell scored his fifth goal of the season at 14:10 to give the Inferno a 2-1 lead. Bryson Busniuk and Robin Carruthers had the assists. Augusta scored at 9:30 of the second period to tie the game at two but the Inferno never gave up. At 8:56 of the third period, McConvey scored his second goal of the game to give the Inferno a win. Derek Eastman and Fitzpatrick had the assists. Mike Minard was in goal for the Inferno for the second game in a row, stopping 36 of 38 shots on goal.
