Amerks Recall Five from Cincinnati

(Rochester, NY) - Rochester Americans General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the team has recalled forwards Pascal Aquin, Vasily Glotov and Myles Powell, and defensemen Devante Stephens and Tobie Bisson from the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL).

Aquin, 21, earns his first recall of the season after establishing career-highs in goals (27), assists (32) and points (59) in 68 games with the Cyclones. The 6-foot-2, 201-pound forward, who completed his first professional season, registered 14 multi-point efforts over his rookie campaign, which featured a pair of four-point outings.

Glotov, 21, appeared in 68 games with the Cyclones in his rookie campaign, ranking third among the team's first-year skaters with 19 goals, 31 assists and 50 points. The 5-foot-11, 174-pound forward has amassed 52 points (20+32) in 73 career games with Cincinnati while also appearing in a game with the Amerks over each of the past two seasons. Glotov was the Buffalo Sabres' seventh-round selection (190th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.

Powell, 24, rejoins the Amerks for the second time this season after he led all rookie skaters in the ECHL with 66 points while his 31 goals and 35 assists each topped all Cincinnati first-year players in 57 contests. The Comox, BC native finished second in the league with a plus-45 on-ice rating and was recently named to the ECHL All-Rookie team.

Stephens, 22, earns his second recall of the campaign after beginning the season with the Cyclones. The second-year defenseman appeared in 69 games with Cincinnati this season, notching 25 points (8+17) while his plus-35 on-ice rating finished third among the team's blueliners in that category. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound blueliner has recorded 33 points (8+25) in 102 career games with the Cyclones over the last two seasons and has also appeared in six American Hockey League contests with the Amerks.

In his first professional season Bisson, 22, finished with 24 assists and 28 points in 70 games with the Cyclones. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound defenseman chipped in with four multi-point efforts over his rookie campaign, which included a season-high three-point outing on Jan. 20 as he had a pair of helpers to go with a goal.
