In Tuesday's action, Manchester used three-point performances from Teddy Purcell (2-1-3) and Scott Parse (1-2-3) to defeat Chicago, 7-2, for its fourth straight win... Ryan White tallied two goals and an assist and rookie Max Pacioretty broke a 3-3 tie with 7:34 left in the third period as Hamilton took a 5-3 road win over San Antonio.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Philadelphia visits the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza on Wednesday for its second meeting of the season with intra-state rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton... The Penguins took a 4-3 win over the Phantoms on Oct. 11... Chris Minard, who tallied a game-high three points (2-1-3) in that tilt for the Pens, ranks second in the AHL with 27 points in 18 games, including a league-high 16 goals... Minard (2-1-3) and Janne Pesonen (0-4-4) are riding three-game scoring streaks... Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is 4-1-0-0 in its last five home games... Phantoms rookie Claude Giroux has a point in seven of his last eight outings (6-4-10), and Jared Ross sports one in eight of his nine AHL games on the season (5-7-12)... Danny Syvret has already matched a career high with 20 points (5-15-20) in 20 games, a total which leads the Phantoms and ranks second among AHL defensemen... Philadelphia is concluding a stretch that had it play 14 of its first 21 games away from the Wachovia Spectrum.
Manchester, 4-0-0-0 thus far on a five-game road trip and over .500 for the first time this season at 7-6-0-3, concludes the swing tonight at Grand Rapids in the teams' first-ever meeting... Thirteen different Monarchs tallied a point in Tuesday's 7-2 win at Chicago... Teddy Purcell has a goal in five of his last six games (6-4-10) and a team-high eight on the season (8-7-15)... Gabe Gauthier posted two assists in Chicago and leads the Monarchs with 16 points (3-13-16) in 16 games... Manchester wing and Kalamazoo native Scott Parse began his pro career with Grand Rapids at the end of the 2006-07 season, netting seven points in 10 games... Darren Haydar has a goal in three of his last four games (4-1-5) for the Griffins, who are 5-1-0-2 at Van Andel Arena this season... Justin Abdelkader is tied with Haydar for the team lead in goals (eight) but has netted just one in his last 11 outings... Manchester went 2-for-3 on the power play on Tuesday, and eight of its 12 man advantage goals for the season have come on the road... Grand Rapids' home penalty-killing rate of 95.3 percent (41-for-43) ranks second in the AHL.
Quad City, 5-2-0-1 in its last eight games, welcomes division-rival Iowa to the I Wireless Center on Wednesday... The Flames rank sixth in the West Division with 18 points but sit just three points back of the Chops, who are in a three-way tie for second... Jamie Lundmark is riding a three-game scoring streak (1-3-4) and leads the Flames overall with 21 points (4-17-21) in 20 games... Kris Chucko (2-2-4) and rookie John Armstrong (2-4-6) also show three-game scoring runs for Quad City... The Chops, who are kicking off a season-high seven-game road swing, are 1-2-1-0 since posting a three-game winning streak... Rookie Matt Beleskey is coming off back-to-back three-point performances last weekend (2-4-6), while Josh Green shows three goals and five points in his last two contests... Iowa has been outscored 42-34 over the first two periods but holds a 24-12 edge in the third.
