Admirals to Host Battle of the Badges

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that team will host the annual Battle of the Badges game on Sunday, April 5th at 12:30 pm prior to the Admirals game against the Chicago Wolves at 5:00 pm.

The Battle of the Badges pits Milwaukee area Police Officers against area Fire Fighters in an annual game that raises money for the MACC Fund. Tickets are just $16 for adults and $11 for kids and one ticket is good for both the Battle of the Badges contest and the Admirals game. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to the MACC Fund.

The Admirals will also host their second annual blood drive in conjunction with the Blood Center of Wisconsin on April 5th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in the East Atrium of the Bradley Center. All donors will receive two Admirals tickets that are good for the 2009-10 season. Walk-ins are welcome, however, people can schedule appointments in advance by calling the (414) 933-5000 or logging on to www.bcw.edu/puck.

During the games on both April 5th and Friday, April 3rd the Admirals will wear special hero jersey, which feature police and firefighter insignia. The team will run a silent auction during both games that will conclude with five minutes left in the second intermission of Sunday's contest. In addition, one of the special jerseys will be raffled off with tickets available for just $10. The proceeds from the jerseys will be donated to the Admirals Power Play Foundation.

The Admirals travel to Peoria on tonight before returning to the Bradley Center on Saturday night at 7:30 pm to host the Iowa Chops. After the game, Styx will perform live in concert that is free with a game ticket. Fans can buy tickets for any Admirals game by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of $2 off of each ticket.
