The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled goaltender DAN TURPLE from the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Wolves have released center JUSTIN TAYLOR.

TURPLE has posted a 5-8-0 record with a 2.94 goals-against average and .897 save percentage in 13 contests with the Wolves this season, which includes allowing two or fewer goals in six of those outings during his rookie season in the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old netminder has also appeared in 10 ECHL games with the Gwinnett Gladiators and the Utah Grizzlies, notching a 2-4-3 record, 3.79 goals-against average and .884 save percentage.

Last season, the Hamilton, Ontario, native, backstopped 30 matchups with the Gladiators, posting a 15-12-2 record, with a 3.16 goals-against average. He also made his AHL debut in one game with the Grand Rapids Griffins, notching a 3.00 goals-against average in 20 minutes of action.

TAYLOR has collected two goals and four points in 14 outings during two stints with the Wolves this year, and was held scoreless in two outings with the Houston Aeros (AHL). The 26-year-old forward has also recorded 12 goals, 17 assists and 29 points in 34 outings with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers this season.
