March 27, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI - Following a road game in Peoria on Friday night, the Milwaukee Admirals will return to the Bradley Center in a Hockey-Styx Extravaganza beginning at 7:30 pm when the Admirals battle the Iowa Chops. Following the game, national recording artist Styx will perform live in concert, presented by Miller Lite and Lee Jeans. The concert is free with a game ticket.
There are still great tickets available for the game and there are also a limited number of on-ice passes available for just $20. The on-ice passes offer fans a unique opportunity to watch the concert from the ice, directly in front of the stage. A valid game ticket is necessary to utilize an on-ice pass.
Styx, who is currently touring with REO Speedwagon, has produced some of rock 'n roll's greatest hits including "Babe," "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," "Show Me the Way," and "Mr. Roboto." Their 1981 album Paradise Theatre went triple Platinum and was number one on the Billboard Top 200. Tommy Shaw, James "J.Y" Young, Todd Sucherman, Lawrence Gowan, Ricky Phillips and Chuck Panozzo currently comprise the Styx line-up.
The team is also collecting food for the Hunger Task Force at the game. Fans who bring in two non-perishable food items will receive a coupon that is good for $5 off a regularly priced Admirals ticket for any future April regular season home game and one lucky fan who donates will win a trip to Jamaica, courtesy of Funjet Vacations, in a post-game karaoke contest prior to the Styx show.
Plus, local band Slumpbuster will perform in the East Atrium prior to the game, beginning at 6:30 pm when doors open.
Fans can buy tickets for Saturday, or any Admirals game, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of $2 off of each ticket. For more information or to order group tickets call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
