Crunch Announce Details of Aspen Dental Masters Hockey Classic Featuring the Syracuse Gray Wolves
March 27, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Syracuse Crunch News Release
Syracuse, NY (March 27, 2008) - Most hockey fans over the age of 50 would be content watching the game from home, seated comfortably in front of a big-screen television. That's not the case with the Syracuse Gray Wolves and Rochester Rockers. They're not exactly the retiring types. Ranging in age from 50 to 86, these hockey enthusiasts are more comfortable skating around a rink and shooting hockey pucks for sheer joy, exercise and camaraderie than sitting in front of the tube.
The Gray Wolves and Rockers, senior men's league teams, tangle on Saturday, April 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at OnCenter, in the Aspen Dental Masters Hockey Classic-The Battle for the Denture Cup. The game is sponsored by Aspen Dental and the Syracuse Crunch.
The Aspen Dental Masters Hockey Classic is free admission to all fans.
Fans can stop by any Syracuse-area Aspen Dental location to pick up a coupon redeemable for a discounted $15 ticket to that night's 7:30 p.m. Crunch game vs. Rochester.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Michael E. Connolly Endowment for Lung Cancer Research at Upstate Medical University.
The Aspen Dental Masters Classic is the latest event in the Crunch-Aspen Dental partnership. Late last year, Aspen Dental and the Crunch held a contest for Crunch fans to win complimentary dental services alongside their favorite Crunch player.
Aspen Dental is a leading provider of denture and dental care services committed to providing patients with affordable, high-quality care. Aspen Dental's network of more than 180 offices in 14 states includes Syracuse area locations in DeWitt, North Syracuse, Camillus, Western Lights, Auburn and Oswego.
The Crunch's next game is Friday, March 27 as they take on San Antonio at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
