
Admirals Sweep Rats, Set for Busy Week

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals won two games against the Albany River Rats at Scope last week to remain at the top of the East Division and overall American Hockey League standings. On Friday night, recently-named AHL All-Stars Brandon Bochenski, Troy Brouwer and Martin St. Pierre each scored in a 3-2 victory over Albany. The next night, Bryan Bickell and Gregg Johnson each had three-point nights and Patrick Lalime made 32 saves in a 5-2 win over the River Rats. Earlier today, Bochenski netted a pair of goals and the Admirals erased a third period deficit to defeat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 3-2 in Connecticut.
The Admirals are in the midst of a five-games-in-seven-days stretch that began this afternoon in Bridgeport. The Admirals return to Scope for one game this week on Friday against their rivals from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 7:15 p.m.

- The Admirals streak of consecutive penalties killed ended at 52 straight kills on Saturday night versus Albany. The streak was the second longest in Norfolk Admirals history - just one kill shy of the franchise record. The Admirals PK is on a 64-66 (96.9%) run in its past 14 games.
- Norfolk is on a six-game winning streak and is 13-2-0-0 in its last 15 games. The Admirals also have won their past nine games at Norfolk Scope and are 10-0-1-0 in their last 11 in Norfolk.
- Brandon Bochenski has points in 18 of his last 20 games in Norfolk (21g, 22a)
- Corey Crawford is on a five-game winning streak since January 3 versus Hershey. He has 2.00 GAA a .931 save percentage in that stretch.

ALUMNI GAME UPDATE
The Admirals are pleased to announce three more participants in the Inaugural Admirals Alumni Game. Goaltender Dave Cooper along with "The Nasty Boys" Greg Bignell and John East will join over 20 other former Hampton Roads Admirals on Saturday, February 10 at Scope.
The Admirals Alumni Game experience is included in a ticket to the Admirals game versus the Portland Pirates later that evening. Gates will open at 4:00 with the puck dropping for the alumni game at 4:30. The game will last approximately one hour. Following the game, there will be a meet-and-greet reception in the Scope Exhibition Hall until 6:45. At 7:15, the puck will drop for the Norfolk Admirals' contest against the Portland Pirates.
