Admirals Host Manitoba, BoDeans Saturday

Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals play host to the Manitoba Moose at 7:30 pm at the Bradley Center on Saturday night in a match-up of the two division leaders in the AHL's Western Conference. Manitoba currently resides atop the North Division, and the whole league, with 81 points which is seven more the West Division leading Admirals.

The first 4,000 fans through the gates will receive a cinch sack, courtesy of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Following the contest the Admirals present BoDeans in a special post-game concert that will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Milwaukee natives, Kurt Neumann and Sam Llanas started the BoDeans in 1984 released their first album entitled "Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams" in 1986 and propelled the group into the national spotlight. They would later go on to tour with national recording artist U2, and were named Best New Band in Rolling Stone in 1987.

Their song, "Closer to Free" became a popular hit for the BoDeans when it was the theme song for the popular television series "Party of Five." The song would go on to reach #16 on the Billboard Hot 100's in May of 1996.

In addition, there are a limited number of on-ice passes available for the concert for just $20. An on-ice pass allows access to the concert from the ice directly in front of the stage, but it must be accompanied by a game ticket.
