Torrent Beat Sceptres 3-2 in Shootout, Earn First Road Win
January 3, 2026 - HAMILTON, ON - The Seattle Torrent earned the first road victory in team history, edging the Toronto Sceptres 3-2 in a shootout in front of 16,012 fans at TD Coliseum during the Doordash PWHL Takeover Tour in Hamilton on Saturday afternoon. Alex Carpenter provided the game-tying goal with 4:21 remaining in the third period to send the game to overtime, as the Torrent outshot the Sceptres 39-29. Eagles Acquire Forward Raoul Boilard from Cataractes
January 3, 2026 - The Cape Breton Eagles have acquired forward Raoul Boilard and a 2027 first-round pick from the Cataractes for Forward Samuel Boyer and prospect Olivier Charron.
Boilard (2006) spent the last two seasons with the Baie-Comeau playing 121 games for the Drakkar. He was traded to the Cataractes in the 2025 offseason. In his 154 career QMJHL games he has eclipsed 131 total points. He was selected in the 4th Round (119th overall) of the NHL Draft by the New York Rangers.

January 3, 2026 - TROIS-RIVIÈRES, Que. - Evan Cormier made 31 saves for his first shutout of the season as the Savannah Ghost Pirates, proud ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, defeated the Trois-Rivières Lions 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
