December 31, 2025 - The Trois-Rivières Lions (affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) wrapped up the year 2025 on a high note with a 3-1 victory over the Savannah Ghost Pirates (Florida Panthers) on Sunday.
Despite generating several scoring chances in the first period, the Lions were unable to find the back of the net.

December 29, 2025 - The Trois-Rivières Lions organization, an affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, has been named 2025 Personality of the Year in the Mauricie region.
The recognition was announced Monday by Le Nouvelliste.
The year 2025 proved to be a landmark one for the Lions, both on and off the ice. Following an outstanding 2024-25 regular season, the Lions finished first in their division and fifth overall in the ECHL standings.

After several months of discussions, the players, through the Professional Hockey Players' Association (PHPA), have exercised their right to strike, which came into effect on December 26, 2025. Despite numerous efforts and exchanges between the PHPA and ECHL management, the two parties have not reached an agreement to date.

December 26, 2025 - We wanted to provide a statement from the ECHL about collective bargaining with the PHPA and the union's decision to force all ECHL players to go on strike. The union's decision to force our players to stop working means that we have to postpone tonight's game against the Adirondack Thunder and tomorrow's game against the Maine Mariners. We're working to have a team on the ice for our next regularly scheduled game.
