January 9, 2026 - TORONTO - Hockey Canada announced today that six members of the Toronto Sceptres have been named to Canada's Women's Ice Hockey Team for Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. Forwards Emma Maltais (Burlington, ON), Natalie Spooner (Scarborough, ON), Blayre Turnbull (Stellarton, NS), and Daryl Watts (Toronto, ON), alongside defenders Renata Fast (Burlington, ON) and Ella Shelton (Ingersoll, ON) are part of the group of 23 Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) players named to the country's Olympic roster.

January 3, 2026 - HAMILTON, ON - The Seattle Torrent earned the first road victory in team history, edging the Toronto Sceptres 3-2 in a shootout in front of 16,012 fans at TD Coliseum during the Doordash PWHL Takeover Tour in Hamilton on Saturday afternoon. Alex Carpenter provided the game-tying goal with 4:21 remaining in the third period to send the game to overtime, as the Torrent outshot the Sceptres 39-29. January 2, 2026 - TORONTO - The Toronto Sceptres have announced a pair of roster moves ahead of Saturday's DoorDash PWHL Takeover Tour in Hamilton, placing alternate captain Allie Munroe on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) and signing rookie Hanna Baskin to a Standard Player Agreement.
Munroe suffered a lower-body injury during the Sceptres game against the Ottawa Charge on Dec. 23, 2025 and will be out of the lineup indefinitely. Through seven regular season games, the 28-year-old defender from Yarmouth, NS contributed two assists.
