October 8, 2025 - STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Staten Island FerryHawks catcher Matt Scheffler has been named to the 2025 Atlantic League Postseason All-Star Team, following a breakout season in which he won the league's batting title with a .347 average - the second-highest mark in FerryHawks franchise history. Infielder Damon Dues has had his contract purchased by Algodoneros de Unión Laguna of the Mexican Baseball League, becoming the sixth Staten Island player signed by a professional club in 2025.
