March 18, 2026 - The Sussex County Miners are pleased to announce the signing of utility player Dean Ferrara. The 5'10", 180-pound rookie from Wyckoff, NJ, will be playing his first professional season. In four years (165 games) with the Fairfield University Stags, Ferrara batted .354 with 215 hits, 14 home runs, 112 RBI, 29 stolen bases, and a .412 on-base percentage. Miners Bring Back All-Star Mahki Backstrom

March 16, 2026 - The Sussex County Miners are excited to welcome back infielder Mahki Backstrom. A 2025 Frontier League All-Star, Backstrom is one of the most dangerous bats in Miners history. Last season, the 6'5", 220-pound first baseman ranked in the top 15 in the league with a .323 batting average.
