Sako Signs with New York Mets

December 12, 2024 - New Jersey Jackals starting pitcher Yuhi Sako has signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets. The Frontier League All-Star finished 2024 with a 3.40 ERA in 92.2 innings pitched and 78 strikeouts. In the All-Star Game, Sako sent the West Division down in order during his seventh-inning appearance. Rijo Is Frontier Player of the Week

June 3, 2024 - PATERSON, N.J. - New Jersey Jackals infielder Nilo Rijo has been named the Frontier League Player of the Week for the week of May 28th-June 2nd, the first weekly honoree for the Jackals in 2024. In six games, Rijo finished the week 9-21 (.429) with six RBI's and six stolen bases. New Coaching Staff Set

May 8, 2024 - Field Manager Albert Gonzalez has finalized his coaching staff for the 2024 season. Gonzalez, a New Jersey native spent last season as the bench coach with the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League where they finished 78-46 en route to the South Division first half title and a postseason appearance.
