Six Players from the Impact Academy at the U17 World Cup in Brazil

October 18, 2019 - MONTREAL - Canada Soccer selected six players from the Montreal Impact Academy for the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, from October 26 to November 17. Goalkeeper Benjamin Collins, defender Keesean Ferdinand, midfielders Tomas Giraldo, Sean Rea and Matthew Catavolo, and striker Mouhamadou Kane are representing the Impact in the 21-player group. Orji Okwonkwo Named Impact Most Valuable Player

October 8, 2019 - MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Tuesday that Nigerian midfielder Orji Okwonkwo has been named the club's Most Valuable Player in 2019, receiving the Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy, while French full-back Bacary Sagna was named Defensive Player of the Year. In his first season with the Impact, at just 21 years old, Okwonkwo finished the year with eight goals, the highest total for a player in his first year with the club since Didier Drogba scored 11 in 2015.
