Zanoski Assigned to Gwinnett from AHL Lake Erie

Forward Tom Zanoski has been assigned to the Gwinnett Gladiators from the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Zanoski has earned six points (two goals, four assists) in 21 games with the Monsters this season. He had an AHL career best two points, both assists, for Lake Erie on November 17th against Grand Rapids.

The Brampton, Ontario, native returns to Gwinnett where he collected 47 points (25 goals, 22 assists) in 47 games last year with the Gladiators. He also earned six call-ups to the American Hockey League last season to five different AHL teams. He scored six points (two goals, four assists) in 23 AHL games last season.

Zanoski was first acquired by the Gladiators in a trade with the Dayton Bombers on January 30, 2009. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound forward earned 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) in 31 games with the Gladiators in the 2008-09 season. He also had eight points (three goals, five assists) in five Kelly Cup Playoff Games in the 2009 post season.

In 121 career ECHL games from 2007-2009, Zanoski has earned 90 points off of 46 goals and 44 assists. He has skated with Gwinnett, Stockton and Dayton while in the ECHL.

The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
