ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Wednesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Stockton ‚¬â„¢s Thomas Fined

Stockton head coach Matt Thomas has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions following ECHL Game #265, Stockton at Bakersfield, on Dec. 27, and for published comments made following the game.

Thomas is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline and under Rule 7(a) Coaches Conduct in the ECHL Playing Rules.

Wheeling ‚¬â„¢s Haddad Fined, Suspended

Wheeling ‚¬â„¢s Joey Haddad has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #270, Wheeling at Gwinnett, on Dec. 28.

Haddad is suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players ‚¬â„¢ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player ‚¬â„¢s Hardship Fund.

Haddad will miss Wheeling ‚¬â„¢s game at Gwinnett on Dec. 29.

Toledo ‚¬â„¢s Keefe Fined

Toledo ‚¬â„¢s Adam Keefe has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #269, Toledo at Cincinnati, on Dec. 28.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players ‚¬â„¢ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player ‚¬â„¢s Hardship Fund.
