Goaltender Michael Hutchinson Assigned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Michael Hutchinson has been assigned by the Boston Bruins from the Providence Bruins of the AHL to Reading. In a separate transaction, Boston also recalled goaltender Matt Dalton from Reading and assigned him to the P-Bruins.

Hutchinson (6'3/192) (20), who hails from Barrie, Ontario, has compiled a record of 7-6-1-0 with a 3.11 goals against average and a .898 save percentage in seventeen games with the P-Bruins this season. Hutchinson was selected as Providence's Player of the Month in November, when he won five consecutive games. Last year, Hutchinson, a third round pick of the Boston Bruins in 2008, compiled a 32-12-2 (2.86) (.913) with three shutouts for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League. Dalton, a second year pro from Clinton, Ontario, has gone 11-6-1-0 with a 2.88 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

The Royals take on the Florida Everblades tomorrow night (Thursday, December 30 @ 7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center in Reading. The Royals will turn back the clock that night and the first 2000 fans will receive a Tenth Anniversary commemorative pin. The Royals game night broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing on the Royals Broadcast Network (WRAW 1340 am in Reading, www.1340wraw.com) at 6:35 pm.
